St Francis School now has a wonderful new facility.

Enterprise House is adjacent to our main buildings with direct access from the school. So why have we got it, how did we get it and what are we going to do with it. We sent one of our top reporters, Katy, to get all the answers from Head Teacher, Ann Hoffmann.

More than 30,000 students entered this year's "Mini Sagas" competition and the school submitted the work of several of our children. The brief was to write something that inspired them with the added challenge of using 50 words or less! A number of those have been selected for publication in "Mini Sagas 2009, The Midlands Edition" and a copy will be available in libaries across the county and also stored in the British Library. You can listen to a selection here.

This web page is a reflection of the work being carried out by the pupils of St.Francis School, Lincoln. It is in addition to a school magazine edited by Fran Weaver and supported by SIREN FM, Lincoln's Community Radio Station, Dave Bussey and Maggie Curtis. The recording of interviews to use for reference whilst producing the magazine has been common practice. To make further use of the conversations, Dave Bussey has provided professional recording equipment and training on basic interview techniques. The production of the final product involves editing (removal of mistakes) and conversion to a web format that enables you to hear the children's completed work. We hope that a PDF version of the magazine can be downloaded on the school website in the future. (Available on this website now)The printed version of the magazine has drawn on the experience of Maggie Curtis, a BBC Radio Lincolnshire producer and former newspaper editor.
